Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results; our systems do not retain or log the terms entered there.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or other direct message as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server automatically receives limited technical and usage details:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site explains how to reach town police or State Police, Connecticut Superior Court, DESPP's State Police Bureau of Identification, and the Connecticut Sex Offender Registry for records connected with Middlesex County. Visitor data is not turned into a third-party record or consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. A partner's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices govern information submitted to its tool. Review those terms before running a query because we do not control them.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Connecticut police, court, state-agency, legal-aid, or outside search pages. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.

Personal data is not sold. It may be disclosed only to categories of recipients involved in site operation or a legal response:
